Aavepartio yksin kotona (free translation Ghost patrol home alone) is a children's book illustrated by me, written by Roope Lipasti and published by WSOY in Finland (2021). The book is a part of Lukupalat-serie. All the books in the serie are nice, bite-sized stories that are meant for kids who have just learned to read independently.

The story is about siblings who find out that their new home is filled with monsters! Together with their dog and best friend they become a Ghost patrol and set out to capture all the monsters while their parents are out.

I was super inspired to design and illustrate the kids and the monsters, the story has so much details and ideas that were super delicious to illustrate! I was allowed to have a huge artistic freedom with the illustrations which made this project definitely one of the most relaxed and enjoyable ones I have done.
